Taylormade P790 UDi steel iron is based In a Forged Construction. TaylorMade P790 pack powerful punch and performance into a clean classic design. The head design maintains low spin with a piercing trajectory, even for those with faster swing speeds so those stingers are now well into range. Newly engineered SpeedFoam Air is 69% lighter than its predecessor. It provides up to 3.5g of weight savings that has been redistributed to further optimize mass properties for better launch conditions. The new formulation delivers a sweet sound and solid feel while delivering a fast, flexible face. Not to mention accuracy. Tour Pros like Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, and Tommy Fleetwood swish the P790 in the bag.
The Taylormade P790 UDi steel is complete with a solid 8620 carbon steel body. Combined with a high-strength forged 4140 carbon steel face but a very quick hollow body design. It is seemingly a very popular design amongst manufacturers. The P790 UDI features a smaller face area than previous TaylorMade utility Irons. And a lighter profile but the new smaller face reduces width at the edges of the face. It delivers nice clean lines and a clear view at address.
The P790 is highly forgiving in a players style look that delivers optimised playability. By way of strategically placed internal Metal Injection Moulding. The weight is optimised because the centre of gravity has been strategically positioned to deliver precision at the moment of inertia.
The P790 is a 17 degree 2 Iron and but is only available at present in a Right-Hand option; Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 Grip as standard. The NEW P790 UDI is built for golfers who require control without sacrificing distance.
