Description
Wilson Launch pad 2 Driver is a fantastic new driver explosion from the Wilson line up. It might seem a value driver to some – think again. This beauty works right up there with anything for the club golfer so It packs plenty of latest technology. With features to help get the best out of your game. The whole idea is centred around helping golfers avoid the need to see the right side of the course.
Slice avoiding
In development Wilson researched 27 self-described slicers. Those guys who fade the ball and found their typical swing path was 5.5 degree outside to in, with a 3 degree open club face at impact. That robs so much ball speed, carry and means shots end up consistently down the right side.
Carry more yards, hit more fairways and solve the slice with the Wilson Launch Pad 2 driver. Fully loaded with game improvement features that make it highly forgiving and scarily fast. So you can go from the tee box to the fairway in a single swing. Solve the slice? This may sound like a reoccurring theme with drivers on the market but Wilson has introduced draw bias technology to help straighten your ball flights and lower scores.
Superforgiving and Quick
Its super forgiving and pretty quick too. You wont be short of yards. Advanced computer modelling results in a tour-proven PKR face geometry that delivers faster ball speeds across the entire face. Distance is made easy with the new Launch Pad 2 driver as its one of the lightest on the market. Coupled with a lightweight Evenflow shaft means effortless swing speed for all types of players.
Wilson have engineered the head of the driver to have more face surface area than the previous model by 5.2% because it creates better contact and improves the forgiveness overall. On average 68.3% of all shots are hit on the toe half of the face for average handicap golfers. The head features an increased bulge radius to disguise closed face angle and offset hosel transition, so its very much like the current Launch Pad. The CG location has been repositioned in the face-to-rear direction as the loft angle increases. On testing it outperformed its predecessor in all aspects. Club head and ball speed was up which increased distance by up to 12 yards, because its a fair distance for a driver with only minor differences and improvements
